By any measure, the Carolina Wren is a lovely little creature to behold. Drawing this cutie and then turning him into a mosaic allows me to let him flit around in my head for a while.
Upon completion, he went on tour with SAMA's One Hundred Moments Project in 2026. Springtime in lovely upstate New York and then a Summer visit to The Burgh (Pittsburgh).
After his big adventure, he flew off to settle in his new forever home, pursuing his never-ending quest for That French Fry.

01 My drawing done on an iPad.
02 Changing the drawing into black/white linework is a since, since it is digital.
03 Transferred the linework to the substrate.
04 The best part: being almost done and then experimenting by second guessing every piece.
05 Compact little fella.
